Battalion still in the playoff hunt

Thr North Bay Battalion need a win this afternoon and a Niagara loss, in regulation time, to keep their playoff hopes alive.

This after the IceDogs lost 4-3 to Sudbury last night to remain at 56 points in the standings.

The Troops are two points back and host Kingston this afternoon in their regular season finale.

Broadcast time on Country 600 CKAT is 1:55 pm.

Niagara closes out the regular season in Mississauga this afternoon.

A Battalion win and an IceDogs loss in regulation time will leave the two teams tied for 8th in the Eastern Conference.

That would force a tiebreaker game here in North Bay to decide which team would qualify for the postseason.

In the NOJHL, the Powassan Voodoos look to go up 2-0 in their playoff series with Kirkland Lake tonight.

Game two in their best of seven series goes at 7 pm at the Powassan Sportsplex.

The Voodoos won game one 5-1 on Friday night.
