Another public meeting has been scheduled involving the accommodations review of six North Bay schools.

The session goes April 18th at WJ Fricker after several written requests came from the public to consider holding another public meeting.

Anyone who did not present at the first meeting and past presenters with new information will need to provide a written submission, up to two pages, by April 13th.

Facilitator Paul Addie says they want to hear new facts in this meeting whether its from people that didn’t present at the first meeting or new points from people who did.

The staff recommendation is to consolidate Chippewa, Widdifield and West Ferris into one new secondary school. He says they are looking at another option of closing just two schools.

As well, they’re looking at closing ET Carmichael, EW Norman and WJ Fricker into another new build.

Addie says they’ve heard no arguments against that plan to date.
