The North Bay Bantam Trappers won bronze at the All-Ontario Championship in Thunder Bay.

The Trappers won 1-0 over the Ottawa Jr 67’s in the bronze medal game last night (Friday).

Ethan Masson scored the North Bay goal in the third period while Ben Gaudreau made 24 saves to earn the shutout.

 

At the Central Regionals in Sudbury, the North Bay Midget Trappers won their final round robin game yesterday, 4-2 over Cornwall.

Four different Trappers (Cole Craft, Eric Mondoux, Payton Vescio and Jake Gravelle) scored in the win.

North Bay finished 4th in the standings, thanks to an Oakville loss, and plays against Mississauga in the semifinals this afternoon (3:30 pm).

 

In the NOJHL playoffs, the Powassan Voodoos lead the East Final 1-0 after a 6-2 win over the Timmins Rock last night.

The Voodoos built up a 6-0 lead after two periods with two goals from Parker Bowman.

Ryan Bazzana, Gabriel Rheault, Bo Peltier and Gary Mantz added singles.

Goalie Nate McDonald made 24 saves in the win.

Game two goes tonight at 7 pm at the Powassan Sportsplex.
