The North Bay-Mattawa Conservation Authority has issued a flood outlook with 20-30 mm of rain coming this weekend.

Authority officials say water levels are currently stable or receding but they will rise with the rain coming on Saturday and Sunday.

They say the warm temperatures will evaporate some of the water content in the snow but some of the melting snow may increase the run off from the rain once it comes.

The authority says there’s a risk of flooding in low lying areas.

The flood outlook will be in effect until Tuesday at noon.
