Quite the gift for the North Bay Food Bank at the grand opening of the New Northern Honda location.

The dealership is now located next to Home Depot on Seymour Street and owner-operator David Barber announced that they would be donating a Honda Civic to the food bank for 2 years.

Food Bank Manager Amber Livingstone couldn’t be more pleased.

She says when she ventures around the community picking up items for the food bank there will be a visual for people to see on where the items are going.

Livingstone says its nice that a major business in North Bay is supporting the food bank.

She calls the donation a generous gift that the food bank can put to good use.

Food Bank board chair Katharine Strang says they’ll able to save costs on staff vehicles and promote their messaging throughout the community.

The donation, with maintenance, insurance and the decals displayed on the vehicle, adds up to $10,000.
