You could win a downtown space

Downtown North Bay has launched a Win This Space competition.

Several community partners, including the North Bay and District Chamber of Commerce, the City of North Bay and The Business Centre Nipissing Parry Sound are calling on entrepreneurs to enter and detail their business.

The winner will receive free rent, up to $15,000, at a space in the downtown for a year.

Promotions Chair of the Downtown Improvement Area Geoff Richardson says businesses have until May 15th to enter and then they’ll whittle the number of bids to 10.

From there, each of the ten will make a pitch and prepare a business plan and a report on their business.

Richardson also says they’re looking for other sponsors to pay for rent or other services, like internet and accounting.

The winner will be announced in August with the opening of the business set for October.
