Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli is calling for a moratorium on school closures.

Yesterday (Wednesday) at Queens Park, he challenged the government to enact one saying the government is trying to balance the books on the backs of students and in the end disenfranchises our young men and women.

Fedeli says school closures have devastating impacts on communities and decrease the overall quality and access to proper education.

He also says the revised Accommodation Review Guideline is flawed and needs to be rewritten to accommodate smaller communities.

An election promise was also made as Fedeli told the Legislature that if the government doesn’t bring in a moratorium, the PC’s will if they’re elected in just over 13 months.
