The Powassan Voodoos hit the ice at the Dudley Hewitt Cup against the host Trenton Golden Hawks tonight (Tuesday) at 7:30 pm.

They also play Dryden tomorrow (2:30 pm) and Georgetown on Thursday (2:30 pm).

Head coach Scott Wray says other than watching tape, they’re not too familiar with their opponents, but that shouldn’t change their approach from a successful 12-0 playoff run.

“We just have to play our game, not worrying about who we’re playing.  Each player has to do their job that they’ve done to get here and we should be fine,” he says.

Wray also says he has one of the closest teams he’s ever seen, as a player or a coach.

“We’re relentless on our forecheck, we try to push the pace every night and make teams skate with us.  We try to wear teams down by getting pucks deep and getting their “D” turning, so I think that’s going to help us in a short tournament,” he says.

3 of the 4 teams at the tournament make the playoffs, with the top team earning a bye into the final.
