Military families are said to be the strength behind the uniform and an evening of entertainment and dancing this coming weekend is ultimately supporting those families.

Military Family Resource Centre Executive Director Tess Clermont says the RCAF band Jet Stream is performing Saturday, May 13th at the Canadore College Aviation Campus (7:30 pm).

“They do just a range of rock and pop hits, they were actually in town last year at the Davedi Club, at the roast for Pete Handley, and the crowd was just captivated by their talent,” she says.

Clermont says the 22 Wing Honourary Colonels are hosting the With Glowing Hearts Concert in support of the Military Family Resource Centre.

“(To) help raise some funds for our centre here, which not only includes childcare, but a family medical clinic to help military family members have access to health care,” she says.

Tickets are $35 dollars.

They are available at Cecil’s Brewhouse and the Military Family Resource Centre at 22 Wing/CFB North Bay.
