The Capitol Centre is hosting their second annual Children’s Festival this weekend and tickets are now only $5.

Events kick off with Dufflebag Theatre presenting Beauty and The Beast tonight (Friday) at 6:30 pm.

Tomorrow’s family activity fair runs from 830 to 1 pm, including a Bouncy Castle, Giant Games, Arts & Crafts Workshops and more.

There’s also a rollerblading show and children’s music in the afternoon.

Sunday features a free movie, the LEGO Batman movie at 2 pm.

 

Hundreds of riders and non-riders are expected for the 10th annual Nipissing Ride For Dad.

The event goes tomorrow (Saturday) with pre-registration later today, from 3 pm to 7 pm in the Canadian Tire Parking Lot.

The event is a fundraiser for prostate cancer research and awareness.

The goal this year is $40,000.

 

The North Bay Farmers’ Market is holding their 3rd Annual Food Bank Donation Day tomorrow (Saturday).

They’re collecting non-perishable food items and some fresh produce during the market day.

Officials say if customers can help them top the 2016 total weight of 804 lbs of food donations collected, the Farmers’ Market will donate $500 to the North Bay Food Bank for families in need.

The Saturday Market is open, 8:30 am to 1:00 pm RAIN or SHINE in the parking lot beside the Discovery North Bay Museum.
