The detail design stage is getting underway for improvements to Corbeil Corners at Highway 17 East and Highway 94/Centennial Crescent and officials are no longer looking at a roundabout as an option.

A notice of project step-down says the study in now considering the design of a signalized intersection.

Media and Issues Advisor for the MTO Lara Cantin says lower cost was the major reason for going with the signalized intersection option.

She says it will also have less of an impact on area property.

Public comment is being accepted until July 14th.
