Police attended an alarm on Fisher Street and discovered a cement block was thrown through a window of a business and a laptop was stolen.

Overnight, a business on Worthington Street East was entered by prying the front door open and removed some cash.

 

Woman faces numerous charges following a domestic altercation

 

Shortly after midnight on the 18th of August, 2017, police attended a Domestic disturbance on Delaware Avenue. As a result of the investigation a female resisted during her arrest. North Bay Police have charged:

 

A 30 year old woman of North Bay with:

One count of resist arrest

One count of unlawful confinement

One count of utter threat

Three counts of assault with a weapon

Two counts of assault

Two counts of Theft

Five counts of Possession of stolen property

One count of possession of a schedule 1 substance

 

It is alleged that between April and August 2017, the accused assaulted the victim on two separate occasions using her hands and feet. She also prevented the victim from leaving during multiple verbal arguments and on other separate occasions she assaulted the victim with a beer bottle and a butter knife.

 

On the 17th of August the accused attended a separate residence and threatened a female then attended a second residence where she argued with her male partner and assaulted and threatened another female.

 

A search incident to arrest revealed the accused was in possession of property belonging to three separate persons as well as drugs under the CDSA schedule 1.

 

The female accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing

 

In order to protect the identity of the victim, the North Bay Police Service will not be releasing the name of the accused.
