The heat wave officially ended Wednesday with cooler air moving into the North Bay area.

That was a day after the heat warning, first issued on Friday, was ended by Environment Canada.

During that stretch six temperature records fell in North Bay, including two that stood for 76 years.

– Temperature reached 26.4 degrees in 2017.

– Previous record 27.2 degrees in 1941
– Temperature reached 27.5 degrees in 2017.

– Temperature reached 28.3 degrees in 2017.

Sunday, September 24th
– Previous record 26.6 degrees in 2004
– Temperature reached 29.8 degrees in 2017.

– Temperature reached 28.4 degrees in 2017.
