The North Bay Golf and Country Club will be the site for some top quality golf next week.

The OFSAA girls golf event will be held on Wednesday and Thursday.

Convenor Laurie Vezina says there will also be a practice round on Tuesday.

She says it’s a big event with golfers and coaches coming from around the province.

“Anywhere from 150-200 people will be here. It’s the top girl golfers in Ontario.”
NOSSA champion Jaye Harrington who attends St Joseph-Scollard Hall is the lone local golfer.

She’s the daughter of Dean Harrington the owner of Highview.

She says her strengths include hitting the ball a long way.

“My putting, short game and my chipping is pretty much what I need to work on. It’s a little more difficuIt for me but I try my best when I’m out there.”

Harrington says it’ll be great to play in front of family and friends.
