Music to the ears of West Ferris

West Ferris gained a new business this past weekend.

Long and McQuade Musical Instruments has moved to their new location at 245 Lakeshore.

Saturday was the last day of business and music lessons at the St Regis building on Algonquin.

The new location opens today (Monday), with officials saying there are plenty of positives.

They include:
– Twice as many (twice as spacious) teaching studios for children & adults taking music lessons.
– Brand new rental department with expanded inventory of equipment and instruments. Everything from home recording, sound & lighting rentals for party’s and gigging musicians to student instruments like flutes, clarinets, guitars, drums and saxophones. Kid’s can get started playing guitar for as low as $8/month.
– Expanded inventory of music books and learning materials
– Expanded inventory of classical instruments
– Climate controlled acoustic guitar room.
– Parking! Lots more parking!
– Extended hours: They”re open late until 9 pm on Thursdays and Fridays.

A Grand Opening Event is being held on Saturday November 18th, with live music, free food, prizes, give aways, specials, and the first 100 families to visit the store that day will receive a free $10 gift card.
