As of today, there’s no smoking or vaping allowed on North Bay Regional Health Centre property.

They’re now a tobacco-free facility.

For inpatients, it means all tobacco products should be left at home.

Officials say under the Smoke-Free Ontario Act, any outdoor designated smoking areas must be removed by the end of the year.

Smoking on health centre properties could result in a fine of up to $5,000.
