Some northern appeal in the Progressive Conservative’s election platform that was released on the weekend.

MPP Vic Fedeli tweeted the northern platforms.

The party is promising to bring back Northlander Passenger Rail service by the end of their mandate, unlock Crown lands for hunting, angling, and tourism and every cabinet submission will be required to include a northern Ontario assessment and more.

Overall, the Tory plan promises a tax cut for the middle class, a child care tax credit, a further 12 per cent cut to hydro rates and 1.9 billion dollars in new mental health spending over the next decade.

Brown insists his plan is fully costed and would not see a government under his leadership run deficits beyond its first year in office.

The plan forecasts a 2.8 billion dollar deficit in 2018-2019, followed by modest surpluses the next three years.
