New ticket options for the 2018 Ford World Women’s Curling Championship in North Bay next March go on sale on Thursday.

Team Canada games, from Monday through Thursday, in the morning are $19.50 while they’re $29.50 for the evening games those days.

For Team Canada games on opening Saturday and Sunday, the price is $32.50 while round robin games where Canada is not playing are $17.50 each.

Other options include day packages at $59, opening weekend at $89 and the championship weekend package at $189.

Full event packages are also available with remaining single-draw tickets to go on sale in early February.

Tickets will be available at the Memorial Gardens box office, curling.ca/tickets or 705-474-8603 ext 2700.

All tickets are subject to standard facility and ticket service fees.

Meantime, we now know the countries that will be coming to North Bay for the championship.

We already knew about Canada and the United States, while South Korea, Japan and China qualified earlier this month.

The remaining eight teams were decided last weekend at the European Championship.

They include Scotland, Sweden, Italy, Switzerland, Russia, Germany and the Czech Republic.

Eighth place Denmark also qualified after winning a best of three series with Finland.

Officials also say the 2018 Ford World Women’s will mark the debut of a new format that welcomes a third Asian team, bringing the total field to 13.

Along with the expanded field comes a new six-team playoff format.

The top two teams in round-robin play qualifying directly for Olympic-style semifinals, while the third-through-sixth-place teams meet in the quarter-finals.
