On the strength of three powerplay goals, the Hamilton Bulldogs beat the North Bay Battalion 5-2 last night (Thursday) at Memorial Gardens.

Brad Chenier was ejected from the game for a controversial slewfooting penalty, leading to two of the Bulldogs three power play markers.

Head Coach Stan Butler says that call ended their chances to comeback.

“You have to move past it. We have to give them credit, they are a good team. We gave them a lot of opportunities tonight by being in the box as much as we were. We just have to realize tomorrow (Friday) is a new day and a new challenge and we have to go from there,” he says.

Cam Dineen and Riley Bruce scored for North Bay in the loss.

The Troops are in St Catherine’s tonight taking on Niagara.

Broadcast time on Country 600 CKAT is 6:55 pm.
