A warm front is approaching and with freezing rain in the forecast, a special weather statement has been issued for the North Bay area.

There’s a risk of ice pellets this afternoon (Wednesday) with freezing rain tonight, showers overnight and rain tomorrow.

In fact, we could see 20 mm of rain tomorrow with the high reaching 8 degrees.

That’s less than a degree off the 1975 record high (8.9 degrees) for January 11th.
