Sporting throwback Centennials jerseys, the North Bay Battalion scored a 4-3 shootout win over the Flint Firebirds last night (Thursday).

Adam Thilander netted the shootout winner.

Kyle Potts, Luke Burghardt and Matthew Struthers scored in regulation for North Bay.

Troops netminder Christian Propp made 25 saves in the win.

With a 7-2-1 record in the their past 10 games, head coach Stan Bulter says the team is working hard after six and eight game losing streaks earlier this season.

“When you do that it makes it really tough on your team.  Our guys, to their credit, have had to fight back and have found ways to get back into the race,” he says.

The Battalion are back in action tomorrow night (Saturday) in Peterborough.

Former Centennials star Vitali Yachemenev (pictured) dropped the ceremonial puck before the game.
