The North Bay Battalion couldn’t hang on to a 2-0 lead and lost 3-2 in Kingston Sunday afternoon.

Justin Brazeau (pictured) opened the scoring in the first period with his 32nd goal of the season.

Adam Thilander made it 2-0 for North Bay in the second before Kingston would score three in the third to win the game.

Next up, the Battalion are home to Oshawa on Thursday.

Only one game on the weekend for the Powassan Voodoos.

They clinched top spot in the Eastern Conference with a 10-7 win over Hearst on Saturday.

Trappers call-up Ryan Mills scored his first NOJHL goal in the win.

 

In OUA men’s hockey, the Nipissing Lakers finished 7th in the Eastern Conference standings and will play Queens in the first round of the playoffs.

The Lakers lost 4-3 in a shootout to RMC on Friday then 5-0 to Queens on Saturday.

In women’s hockey, Nipissing won 6-3 over Guelph and 3-1 over Brock on the weekend.

They wrap up the regular season next weekend at home to Waterloo and Laurier.

A weekend split for both Nipissing volleyball teams.

After losses to McMaster on Saturday, both Lakers teams won their games against Brock yesterday.

The men won 3-0 while the women won 3-2.

And in OUA basketball, both Nipissing teams lost to Carleton and Ottawa on the weekend.
