The North Bay Battalion are back home tonight for a key Eastern Conference showdown against the Oshawa Generals.

The teams are separated by one point in the standings and will play twice over the next 5 days.

Coach Stan Butler (pictured) says the two teams have a lot in common.

“They’ve had a similar season to us. They’ve been up and down. They’re a team like us. They’re trying to get as many points as possible going down the stretch to solidify a playoff spot,” he says.

Butler is looking for a complete effort from his team.

“The one thing we’ve really got to correct in our game going forward for the rest of the season is to start on time and finish on time, and play the same way all the way through. We’ve got to play a full 60 minutes,” he says.

After Ottawa’s win last night, there’s only five points separating positions four through seven in the Eastern Conference standings, including the Battalion and Generals.

In the two games the two teams have played so far this season, Oshawa has won both.

Broadcast time tonight on Country 600 CKAT is 6:55 pm.
