Productions completely filmed in the north earned plenty of hardware at the Canadian Screen Awards.

Both Cardinal and Letterkenny took home honours.

Cardinal won 6 trophies including best lead actor in a drama, limited series by Billy Campbell and best supporting actress in a drama Allie Macdonald.

Other awards were for best original music, fiction, best photography, drama, best achievement in casting and best picture editing, drama.

Letterkenny won for best direction, comedy by Jacob Tierney and best writing, comedy by Tierney and Jared Keeso.
