Award-winning mystery writer Giles Blunt, author of the novels that inspired the Cardinal TV series, is the guest of honour at a Rotary Club of North Bay event coming up in May.

Rotary’s inaugural ‘Dine With The Author’ is being held at the Grande Event Centre on May 12th.

Chair of the event Colin Thacker says there’s a dinner, a book reading and a question and answer session with Blunt.

“He’s an excellent writer, so based on that we decided to go with a North Bay person and Giles was the perfect fit,” he says.

Tickets are $85 with funds raised going to two literacy-related initiatives.

“The money will be split 50-50. 50 per cent of the money will go to the Callander Library Build program and the other 50 per cent will go to Rotary International Literacy projects,” he says.

The event also includes a silent auction.
