The North Bay Battalion resume their playoff series with Kingston tonight (Tuesday) in Sudbury.

Memorial Gardens isn’t ready for OHL hockey following the World Women’s Curling event so the series is being played at a neutral site.

The Battalion opened the series with a win on Friday with the Frontenacs responding with a win on Sunday to even the best of seven set at one.

Battalion Coach Stan Butler (pictured) says even though North Bay technically has home ice advantage tonight, it’s still a road game.

“We knew going in that our first true home game wouldn’t be till game 4 so we’ve got the right mind set. We’ve got to go out and play and this time of year it doesn’t matter where you’re playing, you’ve got to find a way to win,” he says.

Butler says the team was glad to step up and support the curling event because it was so important to the city.

As for the series, he says there’s work to do.

“As the series goes on the intensity continues to go up and we’ve got to make sure we increase our level to match whatever they throw at us,” he says.

Broadcast time tonight is 6:55 pm on Country 600 CKAT.
