Kevin’s Longest Morning is underway on KiSS 100.5.

The radio-a-thon goes until 10 am tomorrow (Thursday), with morning show host Kevin Oschefski broadcasting a total of 29 straight hours, raising money for Rotary4Kids.

The funds support kids and their families, including this year’s ambassador nine year old St Francis student Jaylyn Thompson.

She wants to become a special education teacher when she grows up.

“I want to make the world a better place, because we really need to make the world a better place to help kids,” she says.

NADY President Jim Stewart says a lot of people put a lot of work into this annual fundraiser.

“The people at Rotary, the people at the radio station, KiSS, they all step up to the plate, they go above and beyond what most people do,” he says.

This is the 16th annual event.

Stewart says their goal is to beat last year’s total.

Over $74,000 was raised by the time they signed off the air.

In terms of this year’s event, there’s a pancake breakfast at W.J. Fricker this morning with the radio-a-thon then moving to Northgate Shopping Centre.

The wrap-up goes at Burger World on Algonquin from 7 am to 10 am tomorrow.
