Municipal election candidates can now officially throw their hat in the ring

If you’re thinking of running in this fall’s municipal election, you can now make it official.

Nomination papers can be filed today through July 26th during regular business hours at City Hall.

Nomination Day is July 27th, with nominations accepted from 9 am to 2 pm that day.

Election Day is Monday, October 22nd, but voting begins on October 12th.

The city’s website has links to a variety of voter and candidate information.

The election involves mayoral, councillor and school board trustee positions.
