Recognizing the impact of a dedicated nurse

A long time nurse at the North Bay Regional Health Centre who has passed away is being recognized with an endowment fund and bursary in her name.

Leslie Burt-Manary died last year and her mother Pauline Burt is establishing the endowment fund.

A grant for professional development will be provided through the Leslie Burt-Manary Leadershiop Award.

Leslie Burt-Manary started working at the old Civic Hospital in 1987.

The goal is for the fund to reach $25,000 and it’s already received contributions.

The first $250 award will be presented during nursing week next year.
