There’s plenty going on at North Bay Transit these days with solar powered bus shelters and 2 new parabus transit vehicles.

Manager Remi Renaud says there’s more to come like passenger counts.

“We’re going to get factual data on the usage of specific bus stops and the route itself. So we can make informed decisions if we wish to make an adjustment on a route or where a bus stop is located,” he says.
He says they’re also looking at installing cameras on all buses for passenger and driver safety and for training purposes too.
Renaud says they are also looking at adjustments to intersection communication if a bus is late.

They won’t be delaying traffic lights changing like a fire truck can do but it will provide information on schedule adjustments.
