It’s no secret that there’s no shortage of movies and TV shows being filmed in the city.

In fact, there’s now an intern position being advertised to work for the city in the economic development department on film and tv initiatives.

Economic Development Officer Tanya Bedard tells BayToday.ca it’s a great opportunity for someone.

“To be able to get involved and see what it’s like to be behind the scenes and do a little more work on the business side of TV and Film production,” Bedard says.

She says the successful applicant will be getting the city to the next level in promoting North Bay as a film and tv site location.

“That means more relationship building with the productions. More time that we can spend with them. Hopefully, recruiting new productions and finding out who is looking for a home,” she says.

Applications will be accepted until June 8th.
