A search of a Lakeshore Drive area residence last Thursday evening has resulted in two people being charged with various drug-related offences, including possession for the purpose of trafficking.

Over $9,600 in drugs were seized including marijuana, powder cocaine, various pills and a drug that’s believed to be a combination of heroin and fentanyl.

Police continue to warn that street drugs continue to be cut with substances like fentanyl, and are linked to overdoses which can be lethal.

A 27 year old city woman and a 24 year old East Ferris man face five drug charges each, with the man also charged with breach.

An arrest warrant for a third man has been issued.
