Producers and filmmakers at the Toronto International Film Festival, which got underway last night (Thursday), will be getting a look at the local film industry.

A new promotional video showcasing the city’s natural assets and capabilities will be shared at the festival, along with Cinefest Sudbury’s International Film Festival.

Direct spending by the film industry in North Bay last year was $22.7 million.

That’s up from $8.9 million the year before.
