Advance voting for the October 22nd municipal election starts this week in North Bay.

Voting runs Wednesday through Saturday at Memorial Gardens.

There’s also advanced polls October 10th at Castle Arms II on Olive, October 11th at PHARA on Oakwood and October 12th at Place Richelieu on Lakeshore.

Deputy Clerk Judy Bechard explains what voters will need to bring with them.

“You need a least one piece of ID with photo ID showing your address, that you are a resident in the city,” she says.

She says if you don’t have photo ID with your address bring two pieces of identification like your health card and a bill with your address, like your hydro bill to tax bill.

Bechard says the voter registration card you’ve received in the mail is not ID, it simply tells you where you should vote.
