More details have been release on the city police role in Operation Northern Spotlight, an investigation into human trafficking.

On October 16th and 17th three city police officers partnered with the OPP and local victim services.

Police say no exploited, abused or controlled persons were rescued but several people were offered support and services.

They also say as a result of the initiative a 42 year old Sudbury man was charged with obstructing police, identity fraud and breach.

Province-wide, the OPP, RCMP and dozens of police services were involved in the investigation with 15 people charged with 45 offences.
