The North Bay Battalion enter the Christmas Break on a three game win streak.

They defeated the Barrie Colts 5-4 on Sunday afternoon at Memorial Gardens.

Captain Justin Brazeau had four goals in the game, a career high, and Assistant Coach Adam Dennis says he truly is the heart and soul of the team.

“He’s our heart beat right now. We run as Justin Brazeau runs and I think it’s something he takes a lot of pride in. He’s a North Bay Battalion through and through and I think it’s something really special the fans are seeing right now,” Dennis says.

He also liked the way the Troops have finished their games in the last three wins.

“I thought times in both of the last two games we had let downs, but credit our group, they stuck with it and they ended up having some good third periods to secure some victories,” he says.

The OHL season is now into the Christmas Break, with North Bay returning to action on December 28th in Sudbury.

The Troops are ninth in the Eastern Conference, one point back of Barrie and two back of Hamilton.

Meantime, the holiday break has arrived for the Powassan Voodoos, who lost their fourth straight game on Sunday, 4-2 in Timmins.

The Voodoos are off until January 6th when they host the Rock to begin the second half of the season.
