A 52 year old commercial truck driver from the Earlton area is facing an impaired by drug charge locally.

Just before 1:30 Monday afternoon North Bay OPP responded to a complaint of a possible impaired driver stopped at the weigh station scale in North Bay.

The vehicle was hauling two commercial trailers.

After a field sobriety test was done the driver was arrested.

Further testing was done by a drug recognition expert at the North Bay OPP Detachment.

The driver’s licence was automatically suspended for 90 days and the truck impounded for seven days.
