For the second straight night the North Bay Battalion give up five goals and lost 5-1 to the Soo Greyhounds.

The Greyhounds jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first period.

Battalion Assistant Coach Adam Dennis says the team can’t keep starting games that way.

“They are a skilled team and it was too big of a hole to dig out of. I thought for periods two and three we started to play them a little more physical. But as far as the start of the game it was to big a hole to dig out of,” he says.

Justin Brazeau got the lone goal for North Bay.

It’s the 42nd goal of the season for the Battalion Captain, who got the marker on the power play in the second period.

Dennis says they are looking to their leadership group to make sure the team is ready to go at the beginning of games.

“When it happens (Wednesday) in Sudbury you can say it was just a one off, but when it happens in back-to-back nights, you have to address it and it’s something we need to fix,” he says.

The Battalion, who have lost three straight, are home to London on Sunday.
