A disappointing effort is how North Bay Battalion assistant coach Adam Dennis describes a 7-0 loss to the Sudbury Wolves.

“I’m embarrassed, to have a shot count of 20-4 in the first period I think shows our boys, really we’re not ready for this game and that’s really disappointing,” he says.

It’s the second time the Battalion have been shutout by the Wolves within a week, giving up a total of 12 goals.

Thursday night’s game at Memorial Gardens got feisty towards the end with three separate fights, prompting this response from Dennis.

“At least they were doing something. It was a little to late, but for some of those guys it shows they care, they weren’t going to get pushed around and they were standing up for themselves. Unfortunately, we didn’t have our whole team doing that,” he says.

North Bay has two days to get ready for their next game on Sunday, at home to the Kingston Frontenacs.

In the NOJHL, after a 3-2 loss in Kirkland Lake last night, the Powassan Voodoos are home to Hearst tonight.

Game time at the Sportsplex is 7 o’clock.
