There won’t be an A&W going in at Seymour and the Bypass after all.

That’s the word from builder of the new MacEwan Gas Bar.

Kevin Bishop of Bishop’s Building Services tells BayToday the foundation that was installed is for a car wash.

“It was always just the convenience store and the car wash, there was rumours about an A&W, but they never made a deal with them in the first place,” he says.

Bishop says it’s going to be a large car wash.

“It’s a pull-through, you put your vehicle in neutral and it will pull you through, it’s touchless and it’s about 80 feet long by 30 feet wide,” he tells BayToday.

Talk of an A&W emerged at Council when the property was sold for $1.6 million in December 2017.

The new gas station and convenience store opened recently.
