The North Bay Battalion are home to the Owen Sound Attack tonight.

It’s Adam McMaster’s first game at Memorial Gardens since he was traded to Owen Sound earlier in the season.

Assistant coach Adam Dennis says the Troops will be concerned about one thing.

“I’m sure Adam’s going to have some emotions just like our guys had some emotions when we were in Owen Sound. We’re scouting the Attack and we’re trying to get our team ready for what we’re trying to do and that’s getting two points,” he says.

The Battalion have made several trades with the Attack in recent years including sending Brady Lyle to Owen Sound and acquiring players like Matthew Struthers and Nick King.

The Troops sit in a two way tie for 7th in the east entering the game.

Tonight will be the first home game since Captain Justin Brazeau set the all-time single season goal scoring record at 51 on Sunday.

Dennis says there’s plenty to admire about the veteran forward.

“He’s a northern kid which is great as it’s proof that kids in the north can achieve some special things. He’s also a 13th round pick and he’s come a long way,” he says.

Broadcast time tonight on Country 600 CKAT is 6:55.
