The North Bay Navy League Corps won four out of six awards at their Regional Squadron competition last weekend in the Soo.

They placed in the top three in every competition, including top spot in Drill and First Aid, second in Seamanship and third in Semaphore.

They also won trophies for Top Drill Team Captain and Top Overall Corps and will be in Trenton for provincials this coming weekend.

This is the third year in a row that North Bay has taken home the regional award for Top Overall Corps.

Navy League is a free program that meets weekly, September though June.

Objectives are to give young girls and boys (aged between 9 and 12) the opportunity to develop good mental, moral and physical training, to develop patriotism, good citizenship, a sense of duty, discipline, self-respect, and to respect others, in a Naval environment suited for young people.
