The city says the $6.6 million construction project at Seymour and the Highway 11/17 intersection is scheduled to start soon.

The intersection is being widened so there will be dual left turn lanes on three of the intersection’s legs.

The project is being financed by the city and the MTO will also include work on the traffic signals, the illumination of the area and water main and storm sewer work as well.

The project is expected to take until next summer to complete.

.The city says two lanes of traffic on the highway and one lane on Seymour will be maintained in each direction at all times,

However, there may be delays.

The city will be holding an open house on the project at city hall on April 9th beginning at 4:30.
