Two goals from Captain Luke Moncada (pictured) wasn’t enough as the North Bay Battalion lost 4-3 to the Guelph Storm last night at Memorial Gardens.

The Troops led 3-2 half-way through the third period before the Storm tied it on the power play, and got the game winner five minutes later.

Head Coach Ryan Oulahen says the Battalion still did a lot of good things in this game.

“In other games we kind of got on our heels for a certain amount of time, I don’t think that happened (Thursday night), we were able to play a hockey game and go after them.  Again, we probably saw a really good Guelph team, they were trying to get a win, and we just fell short,” he says.

Mitchell Russell also scored for North Bay, while Joe Vrbetic made 31 saves in net.

The Battalion look to rebound with a road game tonight in Mississauga.

Broadcast time is 6:50 pm on Country 600 CKAT.
