The Battalion pushed the Sting into overtime, but Sarnia scored in the extra frame and won the game 5-4 last night at Memorial Gardens.

The Troops erased three one goal deficits to gain the single point.

North Bay Head Coach Ryan Oulahen says the overall effort from the team needs to start improving.

“It’s our compete level and our effort that disappoints again, we have to get to the point where it’s 60 minutes,” he says. “It’s the overall effort, it’s the overall mentality, it’s all that that we have to really focus on to narrow down here in the last stretch of the season. It’s what we have to get better at, we have to learn, we have to start seeing it improve now.”

Mitchell Russell, Paul Christopoulos, Luke Moncada and Kyle Jackson were the goal scorers for North Bay.

The Battalion are back in action tomorrow night in Barrie.
