North Bay Police have charged three people, two from Southern Ontario and a 33 year old from North Bay with drug related offenses.

Police say the charges were laid after police uncovered the distribution of illegal drugs in the North Bay area.

Police say the trio were arrested at the North Bay Bus Terminal on Saturday.

Police say during the arrest process someone got into a vehicle and drove into an officer but police were able to stop the vehicle and arrest the three.

The officer received medical attention but has been released from care.

The North Bay man has also been charged with assault with a weapon and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.

Police say the estimated street value of the drugs is over $87,000 and the suspected drugs seized include 500 grams of crystal meth, over 160 grams of cocaine, close to 80 grams of purple fentanyl and $380 in Canadian currency.
