The numbers are in from the successful Poutine, Pints and Plaid fundraiser held before limits on public gatherings and restaurant closures.

The Rotaract Club of North Bay – Nipissing says the event raised $7,000 for the North Bay and District Humane Society.

250 people took in the fundraiser.

“At the time we didn’t realize that Poutine, Pints and Plaid would be one of the last times a large group would be gathered together – at least for the foreseeable future – or the need for the funds raised would be as important as they are today. We are proud to support the North Bay and District Humane Society, especially as the financial need within our community is greater than ever,” said Brittany Chaput, Club President.

“With the support of our sponsors we have been able to grow this event from roughly 80 attendees raising a total of $1000 to today’s success of more than 250 attendees and $7000 raised,” explains Valerie Edmunds, Poutine, Pints and Plaid Co-chair. “Although we don’t know what the future holds we hope that we will be able to continue to keep the Poutine, Pints and Plaid tradition alive in 2021.”
