YES Employment is receiving over $135,000 from the province.

The money will be used for workforce development projects that test new, emerging ideas and approaches to labour market challenges.

MPP Vic Fedeli announced the funding under the Skills Catalyst Fund.

“We’re pleased that YES Employment has received this one-time funding so that job seekers can connect with opportunities to find and keep good jobs, and employers can hire the skilled workers they need to thrive,” said Fedeli. “Bringing workforce development partners together plays an important role in preparing Ontario’s workers to succeed, and giving job creators greater access to the talent they need to thrive.”

The first round of the Skills Catalyst Fund provided $6 million in funding and supported 20 innovative projects.

This current round provided $20 million in funding and will support 60 projects.
