A popular Downtown North Bay store is changing owners.

A Facebook post says after 30 years Des and Gale Anthony are retiring in August and Creative Learning has been sold.

New owner Shawn Splint tells BayToday the neighbourhood toy store is one of the pillars of the North Bay community.

“I would hate for it’s lights to be turned off, I saw that the opportunity that had come available for sale, I definitely jumped at the chance to keep Des and Gale’s legacyfor the store and keep it going,” he says.

Splint says he was looking for commercial space for his extensive Lego collection and came across the store listing.

“Great business, great building and I love everything Gale and Des have done for the store over the years, so I decided to put in an offer and thankfully they gave me the opportunity to take over the store from them,” he says.
