A 40 year old city man is facing charges of forcible confinement and uttering death threats after an incident last week.

Police say officers responded to a call on Lakeshore Drive on Friday morning, to help a woman who was being held in a room against her will.

She was able to communicate with a friend, who contacted police.

The man was located at the scene and arrested.

Police say the woman was was not injured.

In order to protect the identity of the victim, the North Bay Police Service will not be releasing the name of the accused.
